wordless wednesday: what's on your nightstand?

Your yarn makes me want to crochet. I started a sweater 2 years ago, but then I discovered blogging. It sits half done in a bag in the basement...
A mess...empty wine glass, water bottle....Not neat like yours. :-)

Haha, no sleep for the guilty. I'm afraid I didn't quite know what I signed up for (this bloghop). I just woke up and now I see that I have to go visit 17 new bloggers...
(the same tissue box LOL). My knitting/crocheting is cyclical. I have a bag in a closet somewhere full of half-done baby blankets and scarves. This one is for Emily's doll, Rebecca (of the American Doll persuasion whose wardrobe rivals any one of ours). I'm "helping" her make it.
I have a confession to make... :)

I felt very old, having to wear reading glasses and still not being able to decipher those obfuscated captcha codes. Glad to know I'm not alone in this :)
Mine is far from tidy....the things that have landeded there are a copy of Wrinkle In Time (waiting to be read to kiddos), a jewelry box (some jewelry is waiting to be invited into the box), my ever ready pack of Oreo's (my addiction), bottle of water, spiderman, Darth Vader, cell phone and a pencil (to jot down brilliant ideas) until I realize it's pointless - the pencil - I mean.

I like how you refer to the stuff on your nightstand as "things that have landed there"... My family too thinks that "put away" equals "go put it on mommy's desk". They also think I am a trashcan (they hand me their trash at the most inopportune places and times). I suppose I should be grateful that they don't just throw it at me. Gotta pick your battles, right?
