I love it! Can I come by? My deck! Why? I can see the beautiful night-city view!

Something about a view makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Thanks Brenda. They were not supposed to be that high, and they are rather loud, but they cover all other city noises so that's not too bad :)

Darcie :) Is your desk in your bedroom or is work tucked away somewhere else?

Hi Briana, welcome :)

It took two remodels, three construction crews, and about five years to get it like this. Worth it now, certainly didn't feel like it then.

Cool! You're in for a treat, there's a jaccuzi right behind the spot from which I was taking this photo.

shut up!
er...I mean...sorry....marry me. or maybe just adopt me. I don't care - I'll take out the trash and scrub your toilets. Just let me hang there for a spell.

That just looks so relaxing and welcoming. I'd love to take a dip... after the rain stops.

I like my bedroom because by the time I get there, there usually is peace and quiet. But I mainly like being outside.
Just wanted to tell you, thanks for coming by our blog and also love your music. Great blog you have here. Take care.

Yes. It does! Let you in a secret ... I just started learning how to swim last year and I can manage to float as long as my kids and hubby are around :-) And your swimming pool looks so inviting :)

My porch is pretty nice big oversized rockers that I still need to get painted but my spa is right there and the view of our property ahhh. We are so woodsy rural compared to your wonderful modern oasis but I will not be jealous I will not be jealous whew I thought for sure I was going to fall victim to envy (remember the ity bity bean shaped pool in the movie?)

oh, my! that's your back yard? i'm jealous! it's amazing! i would be back there ALL the time! my favorite spot in my house is my office... it's my little nook. although, i need to clean it. my son has torn it to shreds! he's at that age... =)

love your blog! following now. oranges is one of my favorite colors, so i love the background! and the simplicity. have a sweet day!

Wow, that almost looks like my backyard! Except our pool is a wee bit smaller, and plastic, and you have to blow it up... and it's about 6 inches deep, but in the midwest heat it feels like a sauna! And okay we don't have palm trees, but we have six acres of plain trees! See identical!?!

My oasis I guess would be out in my garden, when the snakes are all busy being somewhere else <3

We miss having you here too :)

You know you cannot unring that bell, now that it's out there, Rory. I'll be expecting you shortly :)

Anytime, Susi, anytime. Though I suspect your weather rivals mine, any day :)

Hiyya Marg, welcome :)

I like my bedroom too but unfortunately it's neither peaceful nor quiet, thanks to Norman, the old poop. At least, outside, his voice is drowned by the waterfall. I'm know, I'm such a bad wife :)

I love, love, love rockers, Janiece. This picture doesn't quite show you how incredibly small my backyard actually is. I would've loved to have room for a rocker, or just extra room, period. I will not be jealous, I will not be jealous, I will not be jealous of your lofty property :)

Awww, Georgia, what a sweet thing to say! As you can tell from my minimalist backyard, I like things clean and simple (and apparently very grey). Now if I could only get my office to heed that command :)

At 5/9/12, 2:32 PM , Blogger Unknown said...

LOL, like peas in a pod, Emily, totally identical. We actually had a plastic pool, for a while, until we got up the nerve (and saved for) the remodel. I can't take credit for the palm trees tho, they're my neighbors -- if he ever got tired of them and cut them down, we'll be royally screwed :)

Now about those snakes... GAH! Itching all over just typing the word snake!

Hi and welcome :) I've got no green thumb whatsoever, I envy you.
I've enjoyed your banana peeling post, I have a feeling I'll be thinking about it from now on when I'm eating a banana.

Wow...I totally covet your house!
Mine is ...not so cool! (kind of run down)
I think I'll pick the shower as my fav spot!

WOW!!! that pool is beautiful... and the palm trees.... Did I already say wow? my favorite room is my closet....

At 5/10/12, 10:25 AM , Blogger Unknown said...

Thanks, Hilary :) This is why I am reluctant to start renovating our kitchen (which is in a desperate need of one). I'm too picky, and my Marc (Norman the old poop) is not, so the bulk of the work of overseeing any construction project befalls me, naturally.

I saw your closet and it's my turn to say WOW!

Pack up the kids and Tara and head on down, Mike :) Mi casa es su casa.

If by shower you mean that I'd have my eyes closed so I don't see the peeling walls and emptying grout channels, then yeah, I like my shower too.
